Acer confirmed the 11.6" Aspire One netbook at an Acer event in New York. The netbook is reportedly slick and slim, at only 1" thick. Although no official specs have been released, it is expected to run on Intel Atom CPU and the Intel US15W Express Chipset. Other aspects should be quite similar to existing netbooks - 160GB HDD, Wifi, 3G etc.
Acer is also claiming battery life of 8 hours on its 6-cell 5200 mAh battery and also includes a soft-touch keyboard, Dolby Pro Logic sound and an LED backlit WXGA display. The whole thing weighs just over 1KG.
